If you’ve ever had the pleasure of attending a Cirque show in your city or when you were on vacation you know how incredible they are. If you’re thinking of buying tickets and maybe seeing your first show we will share our Cirque du Soleil Luzia review with you so you can get a sneak peek of what it’s like. Of course there is NO way to share just how amazing this show is in photographs but I have a few for you here as a small tease. 😉 Special thanks goes out to Cirque du Soleil for sponsoring our visit so we could share our experience with all of you.

  • This. Is. Us. Well, my husband couldn’t make it so it was a fun girls night out with my girls.

The two of us saw Cirque in Las Vegas years ago and it was SO good that I took my oldest daughter when she was about 8 or so the next year in Southern California, actually the same location this Cirque du Soleil Luzia show was at, which was fun.

This is our Cirque du Soleil review from not only myself but what my girls thought of it too. 😉

Cirque du Soleil Luzia Review 2

Cirque Du Soleil Orange County California

This time I was able to bring all 3 girls to see the hoop diving, painted faces and sounds. That way they could see what I was talking about when I said, “this circus is like nothing you’ve seen before, and may never see again”. They agreed the show inspired them to want to see more when it was all over.

My youngest who is 9 typically won’t sit still for much but was riveted for the entire time watching the transition of acts. One of the many things I love about all the Cirque du Soleil shows is the variety of acts. This one incorporated more Mexican culture throughout the show which was amazing.

Yes there is always a theme, this one being A Waking Dream of Mexico. Within that theme are acrobats, gymnasts, dancers, singers, contortionists, jugglers, magicians, and oh the sets are incredible. The sounds of Mexico filled the tent and there was even rain, two elements of it inside!

Cirque Du Soleil Luzia Orange County

All of the shows I’ve seen have some sort of water element in them which is just so incredible because you are inside a tent! This show happened to be in Costa Mesa at the Orange County Fairgrounds. The tent is large but not so large that the seats are too far away.

Really even the very back row isn’t far and your view isn’t impeded. We were in the middle of the audience and even my youngest was able to see well. I mean, most of the acts are high, or coming down from the top of the tent. There are people and characters everywhere, even in the audience…and interacting with audience members.

It is hard to explain how awesome this portion of the show was. With rainfall and talented acrobats performing in and around it. They bring to the stage all sorts of amazement under the big top that definitely soothes the soul and makes you feel invigorated when you leave.

Cirque du Soleil Luzia Review 3

Luzia Cirque du Soleil

I normally use my large fancy camera when I travel and do reviews such as this one but I made it a point to NOT bring mine to this show. Reason being, I wanted to really be able to take it all in and see the spirit and rain for myself without distraction.

Many times when I have my camera it takes me away from the event. I didn’t want to do that, especially since I was enjoying it with my daughters. These are all cell phone photos, but you can still feel the amazement I think. To follow our road trip blog and see where we’re traveling next sign up for our newsletter here too. 😉

There is an intermission in the middle too. Your children can get up to use the restroom and get a snack then. Seriously though they won’t be antsy during the show. There is just way to much to see. Like i said there’s NOTHING else like it.
