Easy spinach quiche with 4 ingredients can be made in just 30 minutes! Made with refrigerated pie crust or our tater tot crust, it makes for a yummy brunch or dinner that even my kids ask for now! Add bacon bits or ham for a heartier meal.

I have to start out saying that I don’t cook from scratch hardly at all, and if something isn’t easy it doesn’t happen in my house. Using frozen creamed spinach is the key to this dish so grab a block and let’s get started. 😉
Needless to say this is a really yummy throw everything in a bowl, into the pie shell and into the oven kinda’ recipe. Even my kids even love (I call it cheese pie for them). 😉 Spinach quiche isn’t typically a kid friendly meal. I will say it took several times of “you have to take at least one bite” for them to actually say “yes!” when I said I was serving quiche.
NOW though they love it right along with us. You can make it as simple or loaded up as you like. We add mushrooms, bacon, and minced onion but you can do just a 3 ingredient vegetarian spinach quiche too if you’d rather. 😉

If you have ever made a spanakopita before, this has a similar taste and can be doctored up to include other diced veggies too. Mushrooms and bacon bits are great of course. The crust is up to you as well. Of course ready made Pillsbury refrigerated pie crusts are the easiest.
Quiche Made with Frozen Creamed Spinach
To make this really easy I used to use a package of Green Giant frozen creamed spinach, but most stores have discontinued that one. Now I use either a Bird’s Eye version of their frozen spinach or recently I found this creamy spinach bake and that was even better!!
For the other star of the show you want a few large (we love organic free range style) eggs. If you want to know how to cook egg whites this way it is possible but you would want to separate the yolks to discard and add 1 extra one to make up for the difference.
Swiss cheese is the other main thing you need for the basic spinach baked quiche. You want to shred this fine so it incorporates well together.
Crust Choices
You just have to mix everything together and throw it in a pie plate with your Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust (already made) or just make our pot pie crust to make this oldie but goodie dish. A third choice that is out of this world delish is to make our Tater tot crust!!
Do you need to par bake the crust?
It won’t be ruined if you don’t but I highly suggest that you lay it in your pie pan snugly and bake for 5 minutes before adding your filling. This will make sure that the bottom of it gets done vs. having a bit of a wet outcome.
Can you add bacon?
Yes you can add 1/4 cup (precooked) diced bacon bits or leftover ham to add a little bit more salt and flavor. A few sliced mushrooms are a must for us too.

How Long to Bake Spinach Quiche in the Oven
You will want to bake it for 23-25 minutes. This doesn’t account for the 5 minutes if you choose to cook the crust first so total of maybe 30 minutes start to finish and I like to let it rest for 10 minutes to solidify before serving warm.
How Long to Bake Mini Quiches
All you do to make these in smaller forms is roll out the refrigerated pie crust. Use a regular glass to cut out the circles of dough. Then press those into muffin tin holes and fill 3/4 of the way full. Then follow our mini quiche recipe cook time which is about half the timing.
If I have a larger refrigerated pie crust that drapes a bit over the edge I will cover those edges with foil and take off 10 minutes before it’s done so they don’t burn. Printable recipe is below with nutritional information such as calories, saturated fat, etc listed as well.

Easy Spinach Quiche Recipe
Equipment
- 1 pie plate
- 1 Bowl
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1.5 cup swiss cheese, grated
- 1 pkg creamed spinach, 10 oz., frozen, creamed from Green Giant
- 1 pie crust, refrigerated, or follow tater tot crust notes below
Instructions
- Grate your cheese, take our your refrigerated pie crust to soften a bit so it is easier to form into the pan, and microwave your frozen spinach as directed on the back of the box. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl (you can add 1 cup sliced mushrooms and/or 1/4 cup bacon bits too if you'd like).
- Spray non stick spray in your pie pan, put the pie crust in your pan and press in. I like to par bake the crust by itself for 4-5 minutes first so it isn't as wet on the bottom when done. (can be skipped if necessary).
- Pour spinach mixture into your pie crust.
- Bake at 375 for about 23-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and slightly firm in the middle so you know the eggs are cooked.
- Let cool for 10 minutes to solidify. Then cut to serve.

Should you serve quiche warm or cold?
I would allow it to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before slicing but serve warm. This will let it solidify a bit more so when you cut pieces they’ll come out nice and pretty.

How to reheat leftovers
Reheating leftover quiche is simple and can be done in a few different ways depending on your preference and available equipment. Here are three methods for reheating leftover quiche:
Reheating Quiche in the Oven. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place the leftovers on a baking sheet or oven-safe dish. Cover loosely with aluminum foil to prevent the top from over-browning. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until heated through. Remove the foil during the last 5 minutes of baking to allow the top to crisp up if desired. Once heated through, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
How to Reheat Quiche in the Microwave. Place individual slices on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on medium power (50%) for 1-2 minutes, depending on the strength of your microwave and the thickness of the slices. Check halfway through reheating and rotate the plate if necessary for even heating. Continue reheating until your piece is heated through. Let it cool for a minute or two before serving, as it will be very hot.
Reheat Quiche in a Pan. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Place the slice(s) in the skillet. Cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil to help heat evenly and prevent it from drying out. Heat for about 5-7 minutes, flipping it halfway through, until it is heated through and the crust is crispy. Once heated through, remove the quiche from the skillet and let it cool for a minute before serving.
Regardless of the method you choose, it’s essential to ensure that the thickest part is heated evenly throughout and reaches a safe internal temperature of 165 degrees F before eating.
