Reheating lasagna in oven is easy, other methods are even faster. No matter which you choose this is one dinner that almost is better the next day. You know how I hate wasting food too so it’s best to understand how it should be saved and warmed again. (affiliate links present)

We love all these flavors so much we have thought outside of the box to create other recipes like this too. A quick Instant Pot lasagna soup is killer, or Crockpot lasagna casserole uses small shell noodles instead of big floppy ones. For the holidays we will go all the way and make it from scratch though, and we always have leftovers.

Reheating Leftover Lasagna

I mean if I am going to go through the whole process of making an entire batch I’m gonna’ enjoy it for 2 days y’all. There are 5 of us but even if I make it for Christmas with guests I’ll have at least 2-3 slices left. To store it properly you’ll want a container with a lid, and a bit of sauce spooned over the top. That will keep it nice and moist. Then how long to cook frozen lasagna? We will talk about that.

Reheat Lasagna in Air Fryer

Ok so you know how I love easy air fryer recipes. If you do have one of these hot air machines it works great for reheating leftovers. That is right, you can reheat chicken wings in air fryer, and this works great as well. To get it warmed quickly in the middle I slice it in half to begin with.

Normally I would say that you shouldn’t put anything at the bottom of your basket, but this is messy. SO you should place a piece of non stick aluminum foil into your basket with a slice on top. Spoon 1 tbsp spaghetti sauce on top and heat in a preheated air fryer basket at 370°. for 6-10 minutes.

Of course a bit of bread with this is kinda’ a must for us too. We think it’s just great with a side of bacon cheese pull aparts or a slice of 3 ingredient beer bread. Like I said I might say this dish tastes just as good or better for lunch the next day.

It doesn’t matter whether you originally made a pan full in the oven or made our easy Crockpot lasagna that required no boiling to begin with. The instructions for all of these are the same.

Place a piece on a microwave safe dish with 1 tbsp of sauce over the top, spread out over the top. Heat on regular, high power for 1-2 minutes until it is as warm as you’d like in the middle. For larger pieces, cut in half before heating so middle can be warmed easier.

Reheating Lasagna in the Oven

How to reheat lasagna in oven is quite easy too. Just place slices on a non stick baking sheet or loaf pan first. For an easier cleanup put parchment or non stick foil on the bottom of it. Cover the top with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 15-20 minutes or until warmed in the center.

To add moisture spoon a Tablespoon of water or better yet some additional spaghetti sauce on top before baking. Never use plastic wrap on the top for any of these methods as it is never safe to cook anything with plastic of any kind. It will melt on top of your food and it will be unsafe to consume.

Ok so let’s say you wanted to start batch cooking and you made more than one of these. You either froze it and let it thaw out and now you want to bake it. Maybe you made two for a larger crowd and only one was eaten. Surely you aren’t going to toss the whole thing, so you need to know how to heat it again.

First off, leave it in the pan it was originally cooked in. If it wasn’t cooked to begin with like you see here above you would follow the same baking instructions as directed in your original recipe. BUT if you need to know how to reheat a whole cooked lasagna you’ll want to preheat to 325, cover with foil and bake for about 45 minutes.

For a faster method you would want to slice into pieces, place on a baking sheet and heat at 350 F for about 15 minutes or so. Only negative to that method is it will kinda’ slide apart instead of staying in tact inside your 9×13″ pan. I don’t really care about what it looks like but if you do then use the whole method.

The best method is to heat one piece at a time though, hands down. You can moisten with a bit of sauce or broth and even more shredded cheese on the top. For the 4 of us I prefer this because I like my food really hot where my husband just wants slightly warmed. Air frying gets the cheese crispy too which is OMG.
