Ingredient Notes
First you will want to slice a whole boneless ham sliced 3/4 of the way down, don’t have your slices go all the way or it will fall apart. Yours may already be spiral cut so you wouldn’t have any prep as far as that goes.
In a large mixing cup or bowl you will want to melt butter to begin to make the glaze. This not only adds a sweet flavor but keeps it moist as well. It is no good to dry out your piggy. 😉
To create a 3 ingredient ham glaze you will just need two other items including some honey that will make it sweet. An alternative to this would be maple syrup or agave.
Minced garlic from fresh cloves or if you use is all the time like we do here you can buy a huge container and just scoop that stuff out!
Dijon mustard makes it a bit thicker and savory. You could use Gray Poupon but that is spicy I think.
Brown sugar will make it sweet as well. I haven’t experimented with using a Splenda sugar-free alternative but imagine it would work just as well.
And you will want some water or broth to make the sauce. I like it on the thicker side but you can adjust to your liking.
7.5″ springform pan with non stick spray covered with foil are the items needed beyond this.

Tips
Of course there are size restraints for this. You can see which one I chose. Store brand, cooked and smoked. You could slice this cold and use it as lunchmeat too kinda’ style. If you bought a less processed version that is fine but note that it needs to be on the smaller side of things which will take about 40 minutes total to warm.
Air Fryer Boneless Ham Cook Time
The total time sliced was about 40 minutes. That will vary slightly depending on how thick yours is but this is typical. I wouldn’t say that is what we did here but yes I added a mustard sauce of sorts to it. I feel like it needs something to stay nice and moist as it is heated. You could leave off though and just use a bit of water.
What temperature do you cook a boneless ham?
Almost every ham you would buy at the grocery store is pre-cooked or smoked usually and really you are just warming it back up. However, the safe internal temperature is 140F. inside the thickest portion so you will want a meat thermometer handy and wait until it reaches that before serving, just to be safe.

Air Fryer Ham Recipe
Equipment
- 1 air fryer
Ingredients
- 3 – 3.5 lb boneless ham, precooked, sliced
Ham Glaze
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup water, broth or pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1.5 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup honey
Instructions
- Slice whole ham 3/4 of the way down, don't have your slices go all the way down. Leave some attached at the bottom so it doesn't fall apart.
- In a large mixing cup or bowl melt butter, then add all other ingredients and whisk together well.
- Lightly spray inside of 7.5" springform pan with non stick spray. Put ham inside and pour 1/2 of your glaze mixture on top and in between slices. (could add a few tbsp crushed pineapple in there too)
- Put foil over the top of the pan and put it inside your air fryer basket.
- Cook at 300 degrees F for 20 minutes. Then take off foil, pour 1/2 of what glaze you have left over the top. Recover and continue to cook another 20 minutes.
- Then take foil off and reset temp to 360 degrees F for 5 minutes.
- Pour remaining glaze over the top and continue cooking for 2 minutes to brown the top. When timer is up leave basket closed for 5 more minutes so insides of ham can continue to warm.
- Remove, slice, and serve with sauce on bottom of pan poured on top. ** Timing will vary depending on thickness of your meat.

FAQ
The only type you couldn’t would be one that wouldn’t fit into your basket. This needs to be measured before you purchase your piece. I have a 5.7 qt. and a whole precooked hickory smoked fit fine.
We love it air fried because you can get the insides warmed with a bit of crispy on the edges of every slice. We will show you how to do that here, with step by step directions. A great way to cook a small boneless ham year round.
It is all about basting it along the way, and a great flavorful glaze over the top with dijon mustard and butter. Use a temperature that is a bit lower, for longer to get the very middle warmed slowly.
