When I taught 5 and 6 year olds I loved finding activities and games that didn’t cost me a thing. Especially when we had different centers planned on “fun days” I would use sheets like this.

My kids thought it was a challenge to see if they could find the listed words before their friends did. It became a Kindergarten game of sorts. We have a lot fo color by number Kindergarten pages here too.

This is how I usually used these. On Fridays I had a few helpers. Each one would be in charge of a table / center and at each one there was an activity. I provided highlighters in different colors for the kiddos.

When they found it they drew on top of the word and said “found one!” For every one they received a ticket and they would save it until the end of the afternoon. Each center there would be opportunities to earn more tickets.

At the end everyone would count how many they received and the winner would pick out something from the prize jar. You could use small candies instead of tickets if that was allowed at your school.

I also have a back to school word search and back to school bingo game you can have too! Love color by number? Try our sight word coloring pages for fun like that.

I have even more goodies that you might like too. During the holidays I have created a few color by letters too. I started with color by number but I thought for Preschool and school age kids they may need something easier.

They have been quite popular as well. You are free to use both or one of them. They’re on my holiday printables page but will include links below too.
