We make this meal each month, sometimes twice a month, because it is SO easy and my kids say “YES!” when I tell them that’s what we’re having for dinner. I started with this easy 5 ingredient crockpot chili recipe but wanted to do another with some added zing and flavor and came up with this one!
This is what you need for this slow cooker chili recipe
- Large can of Manwich
- Can of red beans
- Pound of ground beef
- Can of diced tomatoes
- Optional to add a bit of water if you want it a bit thinner
Seriously, you only need 4 ingredients which is SO nice when you are a busy Mom like me who works full time! All you need is a pound of ground beef or turkey (or you can leave it out if you want a vegetarian version), 1 can of red beans, 1 can of petite diced tomatoes, and 1 can of Manwich!!

It is a great way to kick off the week with a tasty, easy to make, family meal around the dinner table…..now let’s get to the step by step instructions (super easy……oops, said it again). 😉
Ok, now just brown your ground beef or turkey (your preference, they are both good), and then add your can of Manwich.
Allow it to simmer on low for a few minutes if you have time, if not just throw it all into your slow cooker…it’s all good!
Then add your can of red beans and your can of petite diced tomatoes, that is your 4th and final ingredient. Yes…that’s it!
Turn it on low and let it cook all day. The meat, beans, and tomatoes soak up all the flavors in the Manwich and make it super delicious.
The kid stopping power of Manwich makes meals a messy-licious treat whether you’re making sloppy joes or eating this hearty chili dish…yes it is a bit messy (but totally worth it when they gobble it down and tell you you’re the best cook because of it).

4 Ingredient Slow Cooker Chili Recipe
- 1 can Manwich 20 oz., regular, chunky or spicy
- 1 can red beans
- 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 can diced tomatoes I like petite diced
- 1/2 onion diced, optional
- Brown your ground beef ( I add diced onions too ) on the stove until it is no longer pink.
- Dump this into your slow cooker.
- Pour your Manwich, red beans and diced tomatoes in too and mix well.
- Turn your slow cooker to low for 6 hours or so and enjoy! (you are just warming up and is great on low all day to get flavors melded together so 8 hrs low is okay too)
It gives us an easy way to make a meal we all enjoy & is a quality ingredient to bring the family’s attention back to mealtime and away from everyday distractions (like cell phones, which aren’t allowed at our dinner table). Pair your slow cooker chili with garlic cheesy bread and it makes for a great meal during the busy week.
We’ve even used BOLD Manwich to make this cheesy chili dip, so if you’re having company over you might want to give that a whirl…..just beware, it’s addicting!! 😉
