Camping Scavenger Hunt for Kids

We have traveled so much as a family that we created a road trip blog to share our adventures. There are tons of tips and tricks on that page that will help you and your family have a great time together. Whether you travel in an RV or love a tent more it is the time together that is the most important.

Saving money has always been in my DNA. A post that has been very popular this time of year has been places to camp for free. I mean that gives you more money in your pocket to do other activities like zip lining, eating out and adventures in the city you’re visiting.

If you’re taking kids camping, especially little ones, it is a bit more work. I remember when we tented outside of Yosemite with a 6 and 8 year old and it was a bit exhausting. My youngest has always been a whirlwind and if she isn’t busy she is complaining. Free printables like these were my saving grace. Kept her busy and happy which helped me.

Perfect for younger kids since there are pictures as well as words if they aren’t reading quite yet. This hunt is a great way to have older and younger ones to work together to be the first to cross off everything. You can have trinkets they can win or just praise at the end.

I highly suggest you travel as often as you possibly can when your little ones are younger. Then as they get older they will crave exploration and be more open minded to the outside world around them. We have so many memories we talk about often about all the states and cities we have visited over the years. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We have another one you can play at home during the holidays too. Our Christmas scavenger hunt involves all ages to find items inside and in the backyard. Fun at parties for sure.
