Air Fryer Frozen Biscuits

There are a few varieties out there but Pillsbury frozen biscuits are the most common so that’s what we chose. Store brand are about the same size and would use the same cook time so decide for yourself. We have made homemade air fryer biscuits before but these are so much faster.

If you are a busy family trying to get dinner on the table more regularly, this side dish is an easy one cooked right out of the freezer. You will be surprised at how they fluff up in no time at all.

If you love extra crispy food and quick recipes, here are some resources to start with:

A close-up photo of a hand pulling out the basket of an open air fryer on a light-colored surface. The interior of the air fryer basket is empty and features a mesh design, perfect for cooking your favorite dishes like bang bang shrimp. The edge of the air fryer has a latch mechanism for securing the basket.

You don’t need anything other than a bit of non stick spray to make these. Why would you bother you might ask? Well if you only want a few it’s a pain to heat your whole house and oven.

Also, if it’s the holidays you might not have any room for another sheet pan so this solves that issue. I was really surprised how well these turned out, I was a bit skeptical.

How long do you cook Pillsbury frozen biscuits?

If you are air frying them you are looking at about 10 minutes until the middle is soft and the outside is lightly browned with a bit of a crisp to them. In the oven they will take twice as long, about 20 minutes to achieve the same outcome before serving.

Can you air fry frozen biscuits?

Yes, we will show you how to here in just 10 minutes. They come out super fluffy!

Can you cook frozen biscuits?

Of course. The directions on the back are just for the oven. Yes they’re great baked too but air fryer biscuits are just as fantastic and don’t heat up your entire house.

What are the best frozen biscuits?

The Pillsbury style are top of the list. Mary B’s are very popular if you can find them too. I haven’t tried Rhodes brands in there yet but we use them often to make smoked bread.rhodes rolls

How long to cook frozen Grands biscuits?

Pillsbury Grands biscuits in air fryer take 10 minutes to perfection. In the oven they take closer to 20 min.

It is important to use non stick spray or else when they start to defrost and get a bit sticky they might stick. I don’t suggest using parchment paper because then it inhibits the flow of hot air to brown the bottoms.

You just need a little bit in your air fryer basket and don’t need more when you flip them over, there should be enough at the beginning.

air fryer non stick spray

Yes air fryer cooking is kinda’ my new obsession. So much so that I literally use this machine every single day, I’m not kidding. It makes frozen food in air fryer so good, surprisingly so.

From frozen air fryer egg rolls to frozen taquitos in air fryer, even my teens use it to make a quick snack or lunch. It makes the insides soft and perfect while the outside gets crunchy just like if you broiled or deep fried all the things.

  • This method is way faster than any other method out there and a lot healthier than submerging any food in a bunch of oil.
  • We like to make these for lunch instead of bread and stuff them full of ham and cheese so they’re warm and the perfect comfort food.

Frozen Biscuits in Air Fryer

  1. Prepare

Preheat air fryer to 340 degrees F for 5 minutes. Spray basket with non stick spray. Put frozen biscuits into basket without overlapping them.

  2. Bake

Cook at 340 F for a total of 5 minutes flipping them over after 5 minutes. If using smaller biscuits they may not take as long, just check that they’re done in the center before consuming.

  3. Serve

Eat them immediately for the best taste and texture possible. Break them in half and add butter, homemade jam or meat and cheese for lunch.

Can you bake frozen biscuits in air fryer?

I think we answered that question in depth here. Don’t brown them too much as they’ll get tough, just enough to get a bit of crisp on the outsides and ensure the inside is fluffy and no longer doughy.

How do you fix canned biscuits in air fryer?

If you want to cook canned biscuits that are refrigerated and not frozen you can do that too. Spray the basket and set to 330 degrees F for about 6 minutes flipping halfway through. Timing will depend on how large they are.

Regular canned varieties are smaller than Grands and may take closer to 5 minutes so check the last 2 minutes until browned to your liking and cooked through to the center. Then pour some of our Instant Pot sausage gravy over the top for the ultimate YUM of a meal.

  1. These come out so much better if you melt butter and dip the entire biscuit in the butter prior to cooking. Then cook 5 minutes per side. Delicious. Been making them this way for years.

  2. Just got my air fryer and was wondering when baking biscuits do I use air fryer or bake on the setting ty

  3. It doesn’t indicate when cooking frozen biscuits if you use the Bake setting can you tell me if I need to do that

  4. Worked great. Thanks.
BTW, we tried 2 other air fryer brands before discovering Cosori…we own 3 Cosori’s;) Awesome machines! We recommend them to all our friends. For pressure cooking we have a Ninja Foodi which also air fries, though we rarely use the Ninja for air frying. The Cosori fryers are the best!!!! We will often cook an entire dinner for 4 to 6 people using ONLY the Cosori’s. Because of that, a number of our friends/dinner guests have bought Cosori’s too.

    1. I do love my Cosori for sure, and my Foodi is great for pressure cooking as you mentioned. Totally agree.

    1. Yes at the end of every post is a link to sign up for my free weekly newsletter. There is also a link under the About Me tab

    1. If yours are much larger than the brand shown here they may take a few minutes more

  5. If you cook them a total of 5 minutes……but you flip them after 5 minutes? How does that work? 5 MORE minutes? Total of 10 minutes? Thanks for clarification.
