Crab Cake Dipping Sauce

Youโ€™ve got to try this on our air fryer crab cakes and French fries too. You can make it up real quick right when your meal is ready or make a larger batch and store it for later. Yes this 3 ingredient dip is really easy to make but take note of a few helpful tips so it is as good as you remember it like:

Use full fat Best Foods instead of Miracle Whip. If you have ever tasted the latter it has more of a vinegar taste to it. Though since this a savory blend that wouldnโ€™t be horrible, it just isnโ€™t ideal. And low fat is a no no.

I mean, we arenโ€™t saying this is a healthy food option my friends, all in moderation right? It is great on all the things, let your imagination run wild and try it with appetizers and on different proteins.

Sriracha Mayonnaise Recipe

As far as the โ€œsecretโ€ 3rd item, itโ€™s garlic powder. You could use granulated garlic if you preferred, that wouldnโ€™t make much of a difference. I would say this is somewhat similar to how to make fry sauce. That one doesnโ€™t have any heat to it though, but reminds me of it.

Want to amp the spicy nature of this up even more? Use a bit of red pepper flakes if you like. Not only will that give more heat, but a bit of texture with the flakes, and a speckled color to it too.

What is Sriracha mayo good on?

Oh all the things yโ€™all. I mentioned fries and crab cakes above but the list goes on and on. You can offer it up as a dip with frozen chicken tenders in air fryer once those are crispy and warm.

Air fryer fish tacos are the bomb with this Sriracha mayo recipe. With a squeeze of lime juice on top too OH MY heavens yโ€™all.

How to Make Sriracha Mayo

Beyond that just use a small bowl and fork to whisk it all together. Start with 1 Tbsp of hot sauce and then once blended, taste it. If you want it a bit bolder then add 1/2 Tbsp more, whisk, taste and keep going until it is perfect for your family.

What is Sriracha Mayo made of?

  1. Mayonnaise, duh โ€“ do NOT buy low fat. Remember I said Best Foods is my favorite, it is called Hellmannโ€™s in some parts of the country, same brand and gluten free too
  2. One or a few Tablespoons of Sriracha sauce for the heat, give or take how much you use depending on how risky you are
    1. some prefer chili sauce or Tabasco sauce, I donโ€™t think it tastes the same with these, it needs the above spicy sauce to make it just right
  3. Garlic powder

Is Sriracha Mayo the same as Kewpie Mayo?

No. You may have seen Kewpie at the store, cute bottle but different product. Homemade Sriracha mayo is made with eggs where the other uses just the yolks. That means itโ€™s much thicker with a more eggy base flavor.

How long does spicy mayo last in fridge?

If you make a big batch and store it in a sealed container like a mason jar it will last about 3 months in the fridge. That way you can have it handy for future uses.

There is a printable recipe card at the bottom of this post so you too can make this easy recipe. Nutritional information is also included but if you use different brands than linked above that will vary slightly. Refer to your packaging to calculate accurate calories, saturated fat, etcโ€ฆ if that is important to you.

How to Make Spicy Mayo with Sriracha

n a small ramekin use a fork to whisk together all 3 ingredients until well incorporated. Taste, see if you want it spicier. Add more Sriracha or red pepper flakes if you do.

Variations

Want to add a bit of tartness to your blend? Squeeze a little bit of lemon juice into your mix and see if that makes it even better for your taste buds. Tweak the base to your hearts content my friends and leave a comment below.

What can you use instead of Sriracha?

You could use Franks Hot Sauce instead if you wanted to, just has a different flavor profile. If you do a squeeze of lime will make it a bit more similar. Chili sauce will give it heat too but with a bit of sweetness.

A hand hovers over a countertop, elegantly balancing a small bowl of thick red sauce above a creamy white sauce. Its the perfect palette for crafting your next culinary masterpiece: how to make Sriracha mayo.
