We make our 4 ingredient chicken bacon ranch sliders recipe with rotisserie chicken so they are easy to throw together. We’ve served them as a fun Super Bowl appetizer using leftover chicken breasts on Hawaiian buns too and they are always a hit.

Chicken Sliders Recipe

Chicken sliders can be changed up and served in so many different ways. Made spicy with buffalo sauce, mild with mayonnaise and cheese or cream cheese for Crack style. They are all delicious and easy to make in less than 30 minutes.

If you don’t want to heat up your whole house we have a way to make these into air fryer sandwiches too. A great way to make a small batch with a crispy buttery texture on the buns. Any meat can be used really but poultry is most common. You can swap up the cheeses, from cheddar to pepper jack is wonderful.

In the event that you want to start from scratch, I would recommend making Ninja Foodi Shredded Chicken with fresh meat real quick. Leave it warm and then proceed with the step by step instructions from there. With leftovers you just dice up into bite size pieces and use like that.

Ingredient Notes

For the protein you really could use anything but since we are focusing on a meal with poultry, chicken that has been precooked, rotisserie, shredded or diced is what we start with in our bowl.

You can either crisp 12 slices Bacon in the Oven with Aluminum Foil until crisped and chopped or buy a bag of real bacon bits at the store. You could use Turkey Bacon instead but it doesn’t have as much flavor if you ask me

Cheddar cheese should be shredded fine but any variety will work. You can mix and match with mozzarella if you prefer and Daiya has a great dairy free version.

To moisten the meat and buns you toss the mixture with some ranch dressing out of the bottle (not the dry mix).

I like mini Hawaiian sweet rolls that are sweet in nature for this, and a brush of melted butter or Cajun Garlic Butter Sauce on the top is a nice touch. At that time you could sprinkle on garlic powder, poppyseeds or sesame seeds so they will stick. You could whisk in minced garlic too

To bake these all together to warm it all and melt to an ooey gooey bite you’ll want a sheet pan for that step too. A large 9×13″ pan would work too depending on how many you are making.

Can you make with frozen chicken?

If you only have frozen meat you can cook Frozen Chicken in the Instant Pot this way too. In less than 20 minutes the whole thing can be done and ready to be baked for your party. You only need 4 ingredients to make these for the insides.

Variations

You can make Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Sliders if you are entertaining in the evening, it will be done by then. That way the meat can stay on the warm setting and people can prepare them one by one when they are ready.

Whether you have meat left over from the night before or make Pressure Cooker Chicken Sliders meat fresh for dinnertime these are so fun to serve, especially with kids. It is a quick and easy recipe your children can help with. They can assemble the sliders before baked and spread on the butter mixture themselves.

There are several other options for the filling you can enjoy with these or next go around too. If you want a creamy option with cream cheese I would highly recommend making our Ninja Foodi Crack Chicken first, then use it shredded on buns of your choice.

Pulled Chicken Sliders

Can you make these with shredded pork?

Pulled Pork Sliders are great too with red onions on top. Make a few when you have guests coming over the next time around and see which ones disappear the fastest! Jump to recipe below and let us know if you tweak it at all. If you do have leftovers I would save the meat separately, in a container inside the fridge, and prepare again the next day.
