Ninja Foodi Sausage Patties

We began this all by making Ninja Foodi sausage but those were more like brats style and served for dinner. Seriously the best way ever with a nice snap on the outside while remaining tender on the inside. Now that is the only way they’re cooked in this house.

If you uses a Ninja Foodi, the lid that is attached is what you use. There are tons of brands out there. I personally go for what’s on sale so this is what I grabbed. They were each about 1/2″ thick.

A tray of raw sausage patties and a can of vegetable oil sit next to an air fryer, ready for you to make delicious sausage patties in air fryer with ease.

Air Fryer Frozen Sausage Patties

This is similar to when we cook air fryer frozen chicken patties. In a Ninja Foodi or Cosori it would be closer to 10-12 minutes total AND you’ll want to put them in when your machine is cold. That way as it is warming up it will gradually defrost them. Set to 10, flip after 5 min.

I will buy the flat round shaped breakfast sausage patties that are raw. Jimmy Dean has some and store brand is cheaper. You will want some Olive oil spray so they don’t stick to the basket. Just a bit is all you need.

How to Cook Sausage Patties with Eggs in Air Fryer

I loved our air fryer egg bites so much too that I thought it might be easy to make all of this together. It was! Talk about simple and convenient when everyone is hungry and you want to make a high protein nutritious meal for everyone. Game Changer!

If you want to add some eggs you can do that too!! You’ll need some silicone cups but cheese can be added to the top, whisk them with some salt, pepper and diced bell peppers. The possibilities are endless.

Tips

Love them REALLY crispy like me on the outside edges? Add another minutes at the end until they are as golden brown as you’d like them to be. Enjoy as is together or dice the meat and throw it all in a tortilla to make an air fryer burrito for yourself!

How Long to Cook Sausage Patties in Air Fryer

Preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes first so the temperature is even the whole time. Time to air fry your raw sausage patties flipping halfway to get browned all the way around will be about 7 minutes depending on their thickness and how crispy you want the outsides to become of course.

When to Add Eggs

You could crack just the egg inside the silicone cup or whisk 2 tbsp milk + 1 egg + finely diced green onions or bell peppers together. Just don’t fill beyond 3/4 of the way full. For large eggs you’ll reach medium hard yolks in 5 minutes, medium size will be over hard in 5. SO if you cook these together just remove at minute 5, set aside for 3 minutes so they can continue firming up, and continue cooking meat for 2-3 more minutes.

I prefer to season with salt and pepper at the end but you could do inside the cups too. This is a game changer for us. Wouldn’t cook it in a pan ever again. On the barbecue grill is a close second but this is quick and easy for anyone to do.

How do you know when pork sausage patties are done?

Since this is pork you want to make sure that you do not remove and consume until internal meat temperature reaches 160 degrees F. The air fryer cooking times sheet is a great guide to keep on hand for future reference.

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400 F for 5 minutes.
  • Spray inside of basket with olive oil spray and lay raw patties inside, do not overlap them. If you want to add 1 egg inside each silicone cup do that now too.
  • Cook sausage for 7 minutes total flipping halfway. Cook eggs for 5 minutes, allow to sit inside cups for 3 minutes once removed from basket before taking them out. So if cooking together just remove eggs at min 5 and flip patties at that time.
  • Remove, ensure middle is not pink and reads 160F.

I shared our egg bites link above, air fryer hard boiled eggs are possible but these are the best. Here’s why: Just crack an egg into each of these cups, season and they’re ready.

You can see the results below for your reference. The left one was a large and the right was smaller (more like what you’d consider medium). We have 12 chickens here so no store bought for us, but they do vary in size.

Italian sausage air fryer style are great for an air fryer breakfast too for larger pieces, try spicy sometime! Jump to recipe y’all and enjoy.
