Cake Mix Easter Cake
We have tweaked this same design in a number of different ways. Like we did with our Cake Mix Mardi Gras Cake you can use different colors and flavors of cake as well as frosting. And the decorations are too many to mention. You can order any design of sprinkles or candies online to match your party theme.
If you too love cake mix hacks this is one you can make all year long and nobody will know that the base is literally the same thing. You could go with strawberry for a pink hue or lemon for a bright yellow which works for the changing of the seasons as well.
Easy Easter Cake Recipe
Now if you are making this with kids they can help with the mixing and decorating process for sure. If they are antsy when it is baking you can grab our Free Easter Color by Number and let them have fun with that. Once decorated it should be close to done. Make sure you allow it to cool completely though or it will be a huge mess.

Easter Bundt Cake Ideas
I mean you don’t only have cake you can make festive. We have a lot of Easy and Cute Easter Desserts here you can choose from. We are tackling the bundt this time though since it it so versatile and you only need a few ingredients. The pudding is optional but provides a ton of moisture and makes it more tender than you’ll ever try with anything else.
Our Simple Italian Easter Cookies we like too because the decor can be varied on the top as well. You can prep the batter when this one is baking and then swap out when it is done and cooling. Perfect duo.
Easter Pudding Cake
Here I used white but other times I have started with our Duncan Hines Lemon Bundt Cake which brings even more color to every bite and is like a slice of sunshine when served. Bright and a huge pop of flavor especially if you add a bit of zest on the top.
Bundt Cake for Easter
As you can see we are all about semi-homemade dessert ideas. We do something similar with our Easy Easter Egg Bread where we start with frozen dough, slightly defrost and roll out into that classic braided shape and look with the same candies on top!!
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the white cake mix and pudding mix. Add eggs, milk and vegetable oil. Mix until you have a smooth batter.
- Spray your bundt cake pan with nonstick spray.
- Pour the cake batter in your pan and bake for approximately 40-45 minutes until toothpick comes out mostly clean with moist crumbs attached.
- or Mini Bundt Cake takes 20 minutes
- Remove the cake from your oven and let sit on a cooling rack before turning out onto a plate. Spoon frosting into a pastry bag with a tip or a freezer bag zipped with corner cut off.
- Once the cake is completely cool to room temperature, decorate with frosting swiped back and forth all the way around for the Nothing Bundt Cake look.
- Set chocolate eggs on top of the cake, or use pastel sprinkles.
You could make this Boxed Cake Mix Recipe a layer cake if you sliced it in half and add frosting or poke holes pouring condensed milk into it for extra wow. When served you could add a bit of Cool Whip or whipped cream but we don’t think that is necessary. It will bake about 30 minutes to cool so take that into account when preparing things. Jump to recipe and get started.
I wouldn’t recommend it. Putting hot food into the fridge will create a moisture on the outside that you don’t want. The texture will change to a sticky moist touch. Instead after you bake the cake just sit on a cooling rack on the counter until cooled before frosting. Save leftovers with plastic wrap on outside.
