Peaches in Air Fryer with Honey
It’s summertime which means we want to eat ALL the fruit!! Some are more firm than others and make them great to cook and soften up. Heat always enhances the sweetness too so you can enjoy them as an air fryer dessert.
You can make them in any machine you might have on your countertop. As you know I have several brands including making lots of Ninja Foodi, use my Cosori and AirWave often too. They all work basically the same just the size of the basket might be a bit different.
Tips: My Favorite models are the Cosori or making Ninja Foodi recipes with the lid that is attached.

Ninja Foodi Option
You could use any brand you have at home but this is used most often. Use the round basket for these and the lid that isn’t attached with it’s air crisp button on the front.
You can use our filling with oats and brown sugar or just a drizzle of honey and sprinkle of cinnamon. They are all wonderful.
Can you put fresh fruit in an air fryer?
Yes you can. That is probably what you’re wondering about, we will show you how it is done here. Stuffed with a sweet brown sugar butter mixture, they soften and brown up nicely in no time at all like our air fryer apple crisp with brown sugar cooked in about 15 minutes flat.
Using a lower heat for longer you can dry it out in slices too like we did with our air fryer apple chips too. This goes with bananas and apricots too. Some machines have a dehydrate button that automatically sets to a very low heat for you.

Is air fried fruit healthy?
Yes. If you leave out the filling entirely and just add a little drizzle of honey at the end you can cut down the sugar a lot. I mean it is better if you follow the recipe at the bottom of the post entirely, but either way it’s delish.
Ingredient Notes
You want a few rresh ripe peaches, medium softness, pitted and cut in half to start with. The best to choose are those that are just barely tender but not soft. They will soften with the heat so you don’t want them to fall apart.
Brown sugar will make the insides sweet which is nice. I haven’t tried this with splenda sugar-free variety but imagine it would work just the same.
Room temperature butter gives it a bit of savory element and keeps it moist with a drizzle of honey too.
Cinnamon and even nutmeg could be added into the mix
You can serve these at the end with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top or as is. Half is enough for each person to end dinnertime.
Can you cook peaches that aren’t ripe?
Yes. The heat will soften them still and intensify the natural sugars within them. They will still get nice and sweet. Many times in stores you won’t find them ripe and will likely be a bit firmer than you’d initially like, NO worries!

Mix together the filling with a fork pressing and incorporating all items into a sandy type of mix. OR you can just leave them alone with just a drizzle of honey on top for a low calorie treat.
Do not use any foil or parchment paper on the bottom. You want the hot air to circulate all around it so the whole piece will soften nicely and become kinda’ like a piece of peach pie without crust.


Air Fryer Peaches Recipe
Equipment
- 1 air fryer
Ingredients
- 4 large peaches, halved, pits removed
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
- 3 tbsp honey, drizzled on top
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees F for 5 minutes. In a small bowl combine brown sugar, cinnamon and room temperature butter until combined.
- Spray inside of air fryer basket with non stick spray. One at a time fill middle of peach with brown sugar mixture and place inside basket with cut side with filling facing up.
- Fill basket with filled halves without overlapping. Close basket and cook at 350 F for 7-12 minutes depending on the size of your pieces of fruit…until they soften and filling is caramelized.
- Serve with a drizzle of honey and/or whipped cream on top.

How do you dry peaches in an air fryer?
Prepare by washing and peeling if desired. Cut them into thin slices (about 1/4 inch thick) for even drying.
Dip in lemon juice for a few seconds to help preserve color.
Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure they don’t overlap, as airflow is essential for even drying.
Set Temperature and Time to 135°F (or the lowest setting if it doesn’t go that low) and dehydrate for 4-5 hours.
Check for Doneness, they should be leathery and pliable, not sticky or wet. The time may vary based on slice thickness and air fryer model.
Cool and Store this summer dessert once cooled completely, then store them in an airtight container. They taste amazing!
