5 Things you Should NEVER Pay Full Price for

5 things you should NEVER pay full price for!! Here are some couponing tips for the grocery store that will help you save money that are easy to do.

How to save money at the grocery storeI’m a couponer, and it kills me to see people in line with certain items and NO coupons with them!! I seriously want to give them a little advice right there in the check out line but because I am usually with my kids I withhold my comments so I don’t completely embarrass them. 😉 If you are new to couponing let me tell you the 5 things you should NEVER pay full price for……seriously. (originally published 2/15)

I will start off by saying that I am NOT an extreme couponer.

I do not have time to spend countless hours comparing prices, driving to multiple stores, buying 10-20 newspapers, making 5 different orders at the checkout line because now there are limits as to how many coupons for the same item you can use…..I have a busy life.

That being said, I try my best to save as much $$ at the grocery store as I can in order to stretch the mighty dollar, and paying less than a dollar or so for 5 things we use frequently helps tremendously!

To do this you will need the newspaper, or use an online service where you can print out coupons right at home like this one.

The only downside to printing coupons online is that you can usually only print 1 or maybe 2 of the same coupon per computer.

With that being said if you have more than 1 computer you are probably covered. I wait until I find a great deal on a newspaper subscription like this one that comes along often, and buy about 3.

Couponing tips

It is nice to have 2-3 copies of coupons for the 5 things you should never pay full price for so that when the item is on sale AND you have a coupon for it you can get more than 1 of them. To follow tips on how to save money and easy ways to coupon at the grocery store you can read my post here.

Sooooooo, here they are, the 5 things you can always find coupons for and you should never pay full price are:

1. Shampoo / Conditioner
2. Diapers
3. Toothbrushes / Toothpaste
4. Feminine hygiene products
5. Detergent

I am adding another one….deodorant too!!

Now remember, when trying to save money at the grocery store you can NOT be picky about brands!

If you are flexible you will NEVER pay full price for these five items here again by waiting until they are on sale, one or more brands always are, AND using a coupon!

Recently I have even found good shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant at the Dollar Store so I’ve started there to stock up and then on to the grocery store to see what I can find there if I am replenishing my stash.

If you are looking for more easy ways to coupon here is another post you might like. 😉
