Lake Skinner splash pad just outside Temecula is a great place to take your kids! During the warm season, and especially during the Summer time we frequent it because it is very affordable!
Have you heard of the Lake Skinner splash pad? Yes they have camping there which it is known for but there is also this awesome water play area you can spend the day at. Not camping? NO problem, you can visit just for the day too. Just pay per head to enter and stay as long as you’d like. (originally published 4/14)
Temecula Splash Pad
- As you can see the area in front of you is the largest area (there is more to the left) where sprayers shoot water. There is a waterfall kids can stand under too and shooters they can aim at their friends to spray.
To the right down the grassy hill a bit there is another smaller area, you can see with the large spout there, where they can get wet too.
It is surrounded by trees and large grassy areas to sit and talk, eat and spend the day outside. You can visit the other Temecula splash pad near the mall too if you want. Both are fun.
Down the hill from the splash areas is a park convenient to the grassy area so you can see your kids in both areas. It is a great place to visit with your kids I must say in the Temecula / Murrieta area. Find more fun things to do with your kids in SoCal here as well & enjoy!
You can see their hours and days of operation here, and can call about camping reservations too!!

Entry to Lake Skinner is no longer $6.00 per carload. We had our church picnic there on May 2, and the entry was $6.00 per adult and I think $3.00 per child. Many of our picnickers couldn't attend. Why such a hefty increase, I wonder?
