Earth Day Color by Number
April 22nd is Earth Day and a great time to learn all about recycling, taking care of the planet and just have some fun! When I taught second grade and Kindergarten I was always looking for free holiday printables.
They saved me money and made centers a lot easier to plan. That is why I offer them to y’all as often as I can. 😉
I get it. Having three kids, I also know what it’s like to be overwhelmed and just needing a break now and then. This Earth printable is quite easy so even a preschooler can do it. All it is is number matching really. Once you have this on hand you can find more of our Earth Day activities for kids here.
If you have really little ones I might hand them just the 7 colors they need so they won’t be overwhelmed with all the variations of each in the box. For older kids let them vary them with all of those weird off colors to make their picture unique. You could add a writing activity to be written on the back too since that is blank, that’s what I did.
Earth Coloring Pages
Whatever the reason is you want one or all of these, help yourself. 😉 You can certainly use the blue link below and print all 6 of the pictures you see at the top graphic. BUT if you only want one specific page I will show you how that is done too.
- Click the link to the printable below
- On the top left of your computer hit file
- Change Pages from all to custom
- In the box below that choose the page # you want to print
Then print the number of copies of that page you want.
Here is the link you will need to get all or some of these coloring sheets. Then allow children to color by code essentially. Color by number worksheets are great to practice number recognition for little ones, or just for kids for others who just love coloring all the things.
I did provide an answer key essentially if you look at the image at the top of this post. That will show what the picture should look like once it is completed.

Children can use crayons, colored pencils or markers to match the numbers with the corresponding color to decorate these sheets.
