Ready to make a delicious 3 ingredient pumpkin cocktail this year? Who’s kidding, I will take this flavor all year long! You can tweak it to make it non alcoholic and a mocktail too for the kiddos. (affiliate links present)

Pumpkin Spice Cocktail

When you think of this iconic Fall flavor, you probably imagine this orange can with pumpkin puree. You do NOT need this though to create this mouthful of YUM. Instead you just need some creamer with the same great flavor. You can usually find it at the end of September thru the end of the year. BUT if you can’t we will show you how to make homemade coffee creamer too.

You and I have all made baked goods with this same flavor, but this is a must too. Paired together you may think it is too much but OMG it is such a great Fall time treat. Served as an evening drink after dinner when you enjoy our 2 ingredient pumpkin muffins with chocolate chips, let me know how much y’all love it too.

Pumpkin Old Fashioned Cocktail

The best thing about this is that you can make a big batch and use it to make this alcoholic beverage AND put it in your coffee too! OH Yes, it makes your cup of Joe so much better especially during this festive time of year. Once you have this down pat you can have pumpkin coffee all year long I tell you.

You can see our homemade pumpkin coffee creamer here in our little jug. Just a little stir when you pull it out of the fridge and you’re set to add it into just about anything you want. You can make a pumpkin frappuccino with it too.

Yes you only need 3 main items to make this pumpkin drink. When it comes to the toppings you can go all in and decorate like crazy. Just cinnamon was used on top of the whipped cream here.

  1. Caramel flavored vodka
  2. Pumpkin coffee creamer
  3. Whipped cream on the top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and ice of course

Pumpkin Pie Cocktail

To make this prettier than just the normal glass of yum, you can add some of the best cocktail toppings which would be;

  • Cinnamon
  • Caramel sauce or maple syrup around the rim of the glasses
  • Amber sugar crystals or cinnamon sugar sprinkles
  • Pumpkin spice syrup
  • A cinnamon stick
  • Crushed graham cracker crumbs

A little sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice will do the trick too. The glasses can add another touch of fancy if you want to. I enjoy stemware without a stem at all but with this you could actually go totally casual served in cute mason jars with some jute twine around the rim with their name tag hanging from it. A great place card of sorts for a party.

Pumpkin Drink Recipe

Of course you will want some stemless wine glasses or something pretty to serve them in. If you have a cocktail shaker that can come in handy too. Pumpkin flavored drinks are so fun when you have company over

  1. Turn glass upside down and dip rim into caramel sundae topping.
  2. Fill the glass with ice.
  3. Add caramel vodka and pumpkin creamer inside, stir.
  4. Add whipped cream to the top of the glass with a sprinkle of cinnamon or crystalized sugar on top and serve.

Homemade Whipped Cream

Homemade whipped cream is a delightful and simple topping that can elevate various desserts, fruits, or beverages. How to make homemade whipped cream:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Chilled mixing bowl and whisk atachment

Place your mixing bowl and beaters or whisk in the refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes before starting. This will help the cream whip up faster and hold its shape better. Pour the cold heavy whipping cream into the chilled mixing bowl. Sprinkle the powdered sugar over the cream and add the optional vanilla extract if you want to flavor your whipped cream.

The sugar adds sweetness, and the vanilla provides a pleasant aroma and taste. You can adjust the sugar to your liking. Use an electric mixer or a whisk to beat the cream. Start at low speed and gradually increase it to medium-high.

Keep beating until the cream thickens and forms stiff peaks. This should take about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to overwhip, as the cream can turn into butter if you go too far. To check if your whipped cream is ready, stop the mixer and lift the beaters or whisk. The cream should form peaks that hold their shape and not flop over. If it’s too soft, continue whipping for a bit longer. Enjoy.

Experiment with different flavorings like cocoa powder, cinnamon, or extracts like almond or peppermint. Adjust the sugar to your preferred sweetness level, and have fun creating the perfect whipped cream for your favorite treats!

Pumpkin Drinks

Other holiday drinks to serve that they’ll love:

  • Malibu, spiced rum or dark rum is great to make our Island cocktail drink.
  • No simple syrups are needed to make these cranberry moscow mules, so pretty and colorful.
  • You can usually find pumpkin beer ready made in stores this time of year which is easy.

Or make some pumpkin spiced lattes without an espresso machine at home using the same creamer. Things to serve with your holiday drinks beyond some Christmas cookies: For brunch have english muffins and toast ready with homemade pumpkin butter on the side.

Make a batch of non alcoholic party punch for the kiddos too, it’s always a hit.
