Doesn’t this look like a fun after school snack??!! There’s nothing wrong with “playing with your food” (assuming you wash your hands first, lol). It is a great way to introduce new foods to your kids too!
This food art idea for kids using State Fair® air fryer corn dogs from Walmart is a great one because what kid doesn’t like a warm corndog??!! Here’s what you will need for this easy after school snack.
We start with this brand of corn dogs. They have a sweet honey batter which all of us like. They are a great source of protein, and only take 45 seconds in the microwave to cook.
This gets a thumbs up from this busy Mom! You will need 1 cucumber, some cherry tomatoes, and 1 string cheese.
If your kids aren’t huge veggie lovers this is a great way to introduce a few “fun” ones to them! I will let my 9 year old take it from here. 😉
“Have your Mom or Dad cook your corn dog in the microwave for about a minute.
Use a peeler and peel a bit of the skin off of your cucumber, then have them slice it for you. You can have them slice your string cheese too. Or if you’re allowed you can use a butter knife to cut the cheese into small pieces like you see here.
Take the stick out of your corn dog and then you want to get a toothpick and put it thru one of the cucumber slices. Push it thru the corn dog.
I never used to like them but my taste buds changed and now I take them in my lunch sometimes) and put a piece of your cheese on to finish your wheel. Do this for all four of your wheels!”
Now that’s an easy and fun after school snack!!
“It’s a really easy after school snack that’s fun to make and gets me ready for my homework…ugh, and keeps me full until dinner time! Do you have a favorite after school snack?”
