When it’s October we all think of Halloween, especially if you have kids! We love the free Halloween television show schedule because it’s a great excuse for all of us to cuddle up in front of the tv and watch some classic scary and funny movies! (originally published 9/17)
Freeform Halloween Movie Schedule
Most of the movies Freeform 31 Nights of Halloween offers are not scary and are definitely family friendly. Many you have probably seen before but when it is that time of year you’ve probably forgotten all about them and many are nostalgic for me as I watched them myself when I was younger with my friends.
I will say we found Hocus Pocus on Netflix earlier this year and watched it all 5 of us. I hadn’t remembered a lot of it but it was a great excuse to cuddle up together for movie night.
Freeform Halloween Schedule
My girls always really enjoy this every year. We will make it a whole evening of fun. Make Halloween candy apples together first, let them dry while watching a flick. Then enjoy a treat later.
- I love that the Freeform channel brings back a lot of the “old school” movies that we enjoyed as kids and young adults. Now we can now share the same silliness with our kids for FREE.
- The Addams Family is one of our all time favorite Halloween tv specials too.
- We watch it during Halloween time and before Christmas as well.

If you miss one they show many of the popular tv Halloween movies multiple times throughout the month so set your DVR for the ones you like and make a movie night out of it.
Halloween Movies on TV
That is what I do when this Halloween television schedule comes out. I sit down and set to record the ones I like, especially since many are on too late, so we watch them the next night together.
- Make sure to watch Halloween wars and the Halloween baking championship on Food Network too. That’s a must this time of year. It shows before October 31 so be sure to tape this Halloween special if you won’t be at home to watch it live.
- The haunted gingerbread showdown is another great one to catch.

- Halloween bingo is a fun one too.
So bake or pick up something fun and enjoy the evenings together!
