Julian California

If you have never taken a day trip up to Julian California you really need to. If you’re an apple pie fan you’re in double luck because they make the best apple pie around! Let me show you why we love the little town of Julian so much and why you need to visit!

Julian California

I know……so cute right??!!! Yes, they have these horse drawn carriages just traveling up and down the street here with cars passing by slowly and just looking around at all the boutiques, bakeries, and people.

Things to do in Julian California

One reason to go to Julian is to have a piece of Julian Pie, fresh from one of their bakeries. We always hit Mom’s bakery there and have a few slices topped with ice cream.

Sometimes we take a whole pie home with us too. There are lots of trinket and boutique stores in Julian, and of course no little town would be complete without a trip tot he candy shop (candy mine in this case)!

Julian California Apple Pies

You go underground to find all the old fashioned, and newer, candies you’d like. It is in the back of an old soda shop that serves diner food and shakes.

We always have to make a trip here. There is usually a guy out front of this shop with his horse and Llama too (seriously), and your kids can take a short ride on the horse for free…super cute.

William Heise Park

Is Julian Ca. Worth Visiting

For sure, it is cute. On your way in or out of Julian you should stop by William Heise park. We happened upon it by accident once when we were looking for somewhere to picnic.

We plan on coming back some time to rent one of these cute cabins!! There is a great playground amongst the cabins and lots of room to run. If you’re looking for a campground this accommodates tents as well. For directions and more about Julian visit their website.

If you’re looking for more road trip ideas check out Idyllwild California here too. Safe road tripping!

Want to see a few of my favorite things that I am totally obsessed with?? Take a peek and see how many you might already have…twinsies!
