7medium potatoesred or russets cut in half or left whole

1/2headcabbagewill only use a few of the largest leaves
1/2smallonionquartered or sliced
Instructions
Pierce and wash 4 potatoes and put together in middle of crockpot. If too large for brisket to sit on top with lid closed just slice in half and put cut end facing down.
Quarter other potatoes, and slice onion. Place around whole potatoes in middle.
Place brisket on top of the 4 large potatoes (your stand).
Pour can of beer over the meat. We used 5 cups total.
Sprinkle corned beef spice packet on top of brisket. Put lid on and cook on low for 8 hours or until it is super tender and very easy to slice thru.
30 min-1 hr before serving put large leaves of cabbage on top of brisket and put lid on again to steam until desired "doneness". Serve with mustard for corned beef on top.
