Fresh or defrosted Chicken breasts on stove - Trim any excess fat from the chicken breast. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Mix together garlic powder, basil, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper and sprinkle on one side of the chicken breasts on both sides.
Place the chicken into the hot oil and cook on each side, about 5-7 minutes each until browned and cooked through. Internal temperature should reach 165 degrees. Serve immediately.
Frozen chicken breast on stove - Preheat skillet over medium heat with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Place frozen chicken into the skillet. Cover pan with a tight fitting lid and cook for 10 minutes. Flip chicken pieces over. Cover the pan again and cook for additional 10 minutes or so. Timing will depend on thickness, cook until minimum internal temperature using instant read thermometer reaches 165 degrees F.
