Equipment
1 container 9x13 or larger, shallow
1 mixer
1 Bowl
Ingredients
3/4coat flour
2tbspoat flour
1/2tspsea salt
1/4csugar
4tbspbuttersoftened
3/4tspcoconut extractvanilla or other extract scent of choice
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F first. Beat the softened butter and sugar on medium with your stand or hand held mixer until it is fluffy. Then add the extract and mix.
In a dish combine oat flour and salt, stir and then add in small amounts into the butter until all is added, mixed and is now a ball shape that can be formed.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper, lay ball on top, press another piece of wax or parchment on top and roll it flat. Then remove top piece and bake about 7 minutes.
Then remove pan, break into large pieces with knife or your hands if you cool it enough. Bake for another 7 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
Move pieces to a freezer bag to smash, your large container to break into finer pieces to play with using a hammer. Then allow your child to play with the finer grains, smash with hands. When done store in freezer bag to stay moist and pliable.
** For a no bake method just put Cheerios into blender and pulse until it is fine crumbs, pour into a shallow large container with a plastic shovel and toys to play with.
