Preheat your oven to 375F. Mix together ground beef, egg, onion soup mix and breadcrumbs together to make homemade meatball mixture. Use small cookie scoop to scoop up mixture and roll into balls.
Heat a large pan on the stove over medium heat. Add a bit of olive oil and when hot add same size ground beef balls, will make 24 total, into pan to lightly brown the outsides. Remove with slotted spoon and place on plate with paper towels to absorb excess grease.
Lay uncooked spaghetti noodles into your 9x13" pan. Drizzle olive oil on top followed by minced garlic, Italian seasoning and salt.
Top with diced tomatoes, water and 2 cups spaghetti sauce. Set browned meatballs on the top followed by the remaining sauce and set in oven with a piece of foil placed on top (so they don't get too brown, not sealed) for 40 minutes.
Remove foil, gently toss everything together with a large spoon and serve with parmesan cheese on top!
If you want to top with cheese you would need to sprinkle on 2 cups mozzarella at this time and bake for another 8 minutes until melted. Then serve.
