2cupchickenleftovers or other precooked chopped meat
1cupcheesemozzarella used
1cupcream cheesesoftened
1/4cupgreen onionschopped
1/4cupblue cheesecrumbled
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken and buffalo sauce, adjusting the amount of sauce to your desired level of spiciness. Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese and softened cream cheese until well combined.
If desired, add chopped green onions for extra flavor. Unroll the tubes of refrigerated crescent roll dough. Separate the dough into triangles. Arrange the crescent triangles on the baking sheet in a circular pattern, with the wide ends overlapping slightly and the pointed ends extending outward.
This will form a ring-like shape. Spoon the buffalo chicken mixture onto the wide ends of the crescent triangles, forming a ring. Fold the pointed ends of the triangles over the filling and tuck them under the wide ends, creating an enclosed ring.
Place the baking sheet with the assembled buffalo chicken crescent ring in the preheated oven. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
Once the crescent ring is out of the oven, if desired, sprinkle crumbled blue cheese over the top while it's still warm.
Allow the buffalo chicken crescent ring to cool slightly before slicing into portions. Serve it warm with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing
Ground Beef Taco Ring - instead of listed above ingredients for insides, brown 1 lb ground beef for a few minutes, then add 1 package (1 oz) taco seasoning mix, mix in ½ cup water or broth and simmer for a few minutes. Then remove from heat and mix in 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese until melted. Allow to cool slightly before adding into the ring shape as explained above and bake the same amount of time until golden brown.
