Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prep a regular or mini donut pan with baking spray. In a mixing bowl, add the egg and sugar, whisking together. Then go in with the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla and almond extract. Whisk again until combined.
In another bowl mix the flour, baking powder and salt together, then add into the wet ingredients. Whisk together until a batter is formed. Place the batter in a piping bag and snip the end of it.
Squeeze the batter into each mini donut pan filling ¾ way full. Bake in the oven for 13-15 minutes for mini or about 17 min. for regular sizes - or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Prepare a bowl or paper bag with powdered sugar.
Cake Mix Powdered Sugar Donuts - Mix together 4 tbsp. melted butter, 2 eggs, 3/4 cup buttermilk and 1 box cake mix. Add mixture to pint freezer bag and cut end off. Spray donut pan with non stick spray and squeeze mixture into pan (barely halfway full). Cook at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until donut springs back.
When the donuts are done baking, let them cool for 5 minutes. Then place into the bag or bowl and shake around to coat the donuts fully. If sugar doesn't want to stick well you can spritz the outsides with a bit of melted butter and then dip on both sides. Enjoy immediately!
