1lbMayocoba Beansdry
1ham hock
32ozvegetable brothchicken or beef
1/2onionsliced
salt and pepperto taste
Instructions
The night before pour dry beans into a bowl with enough water to cover them + 4" above the top. Let sit 10-12 hours.
In the morning rinse them and pour into slow cooker. Add a ham hock in the center (optional). Pour in your choice of broth. Make sure all beans are submerged. Top with sliced onion.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours until tender. Remove ham hock and slice off meat, put that back into the pot.
