Instructions
Place a trivet into the bottom of the pot. Open the top of the can of your sweetened condensed milk. You can place into a heat proof bowl that will fit into the electric pressure cooker wrapped entirely with foil to seal. ** Or just wrap the open can twice with foil very tightly.
Place the bowl or wrapped can into the electric pressure cooker, resting in the middle of your trivet.
Fill the electric pressure cooker with enough water to come halfway up the sides of the can or bowl. Close lid and steam valve. Pressure cook on high for 40 minutes.
Quickly release the steam when done. Lift out, unwrap, stir and enjoy. As it cools it will continue to thicken.
** If you want a lighter color you can decrease timing to 35 minutes, darker colors result with longer cooking time which will result in a stronger caramel flavor and thicker too.
