Equipment
1 sheet pan
1 knife
Ingredients
8-12hot dogs
8-12hot dog buns
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 and line a baking sheet with foil. Set aside.
Using a sharp knife, cut lengthwise along the hot dog, making the cut about 1/3 of the way thru only so it can expand. Place the hot dogs, cut side up, on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 6-10 minutes or until hot dogs are split open and the outside just begins to get crispy. Remove from oven and serve immediately in buns.

Notes
Baked Hot Dogs in Buns
If you want to bake them inside the buns you would follow the same directions as above. Place sliced dog inside the bun with the slice facing up and bake for the same cook time as usual.
Frozen Hot Dogs in Oven
Cook time remains the same however you need to make sure that they are separated from one another first. Still use a knife to slice it so steam can escape (as much as possible). I would not put these inside buns as the moisture will make the buns soggy.
