Devil's Food Cake Mix Brownies Recipe

1 8x8 pan

Ingredients

1 box cake mix devil's food
2 large eggs
1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup Nutella we used Nutella, this is optional but makes richer

Instructions

Mix together your box of cake mix with your eggs and oil.
Fold in your Nutella and chopped nuts (1/2 cup is optional).
Spray an 8x8 pan with non stick spray or line with parchment paper.
Spread batter evenly into pan and put into preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 24 minutes, do NOT overbake...timing depends on altitude and oven. Start at 21 minutes, check, add more min. if necessary until edges are just barely browned and middle is starting to firm up.
Put on cooling rack and leave in pan until completely cooled before cutting.

How to Know When Brownies are Done

If you want them fudgy, they are done when the outsides are cracked and middle is starting to crack, slightly firm to the touch, and a toothpick comes out mostly clean but with moist crumbs attached when removed from the center. Always allow to cool in the pan on a cooling rack to continue to solidify before slicing.

For cakey you want the whole top to be cracked, firm to the touch in the center and toothpick comes out clean.
