Chocolate gingerbread cake with cake mix or homemade is a yummy Christmas dessert idea everyone loves. Now you can make the flavors you love all year long.
Homemade ingredients above, below uses cake mix - In a bowl with a hand or stand mixer mix wet ingredients together; butter, brown sugar, molasses and vanilla until creamed and smooth, then add the egg and mix. In separate bowl whisk together dry ingredients. Then slowly add 1/3 of the flour mixture into the wet with 1/3 of the boiling water, mixing all along.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line your 9x9" baking dish with parchment paper. Pour in pan and bake for 32-38 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out mostly clean with crumbs attached.
Remove, set on cooling rack and let cool before slicing.

1 box chocolate cake mix
Package instant chocolate pudding mix
4 eggs
1 tbsp ground ginger and cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 c sour cream
1/2 c vegetable oil
1/2 c hot water
1/2 c molasses
1 c mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients with mixer on low except chips. Fold in chips at the end. Spray bundt pan with non stick spray and bake for 50 minutes or until top springs back when touched or toothpick comes out with moist crumbs attache
