Ingredients
1cbutterunsalted, melted and cooled slightly
1cbrown sugarpacked
2eggs
1tspvanilla extract

1cbananasbrown, mashed, about 2 large

Banana Pudding Frosting
1boxbanana puddinginstant, 3.4 oz.
1 3/4cmilkwhole is best
Instructions
In a bowl combine the pudding mix and milk. Follow the directions on the back of the box whisking until it has thickened. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until thick and cold. A few hours is best.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray or parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until well blended. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the mashed bananas and toasted walnuts until evenly distributed.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
If you want to top with the pudding, allow the base is cool for a good hour, serve each piece with a layer of the banana pudding on top and with whipped topping over that.
