Equipment
1 air fryer
Ingredients
1pkgbaconcut in half lengthwise
1/2cmaple syrup
3/4cbrown sugar
1pinchred pepper flakesif you want a spicy sweet taste, optional
Instructions
Unwrap bacon, lay on cutting board and slice in half lengthwise so they aren't as long.
Use a paper towel to blot each piece dry so the coating sticks. Pour syrup in a bowl and brown sugar in another. One piece at a time dip in syrup and then lay in sugar and press to coat on both sides. Lift up and let excess fall off.
Preheat air fryer at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes. Lay a piece of parchment paper inside basket and lay coated bacon pieces inside without overlapping. If you want spicy and sweet VERY lightly sprinkle some red pepper flakes on pieces.
When full close basket and cook for 10 minutes, or until crispy. Have a plate or baking sheet with parchment paper ready and on the side.
When done use tongs to lift each piece out and sit on parchment for a full 10-15 minutes so it can cool and coating can harden.
Work in batches until you cook how many pieces you want to.
