Buy used & save the difference! There are some great items at thrift stores you can use, or repurpose to redecorate your house and give it that “new” feeling. Just because you didn’t purchase it at a retail store doesn’t mean it isn’t a treasure, or won’t get tons of compliments, it’s all in the vision you have & being creative with what you do with what you can find.

Furniture for instance…..if you want a new look for your dining room table, you can resurface it & use a new stain to make it look “new”. As for the chairs, it is easier than you think to buy fabric and just redo their look by replacing the cushions and/or fabric on them. Find a great lamp at a resale shop but it’s missing the shade?? Customize it by purchasing the expensive part at a second hand store, & look for a shade at another resale shop or discount store like Tuesday Mornings!

You can find great items of clothing at thrift shops too if you have some time to dig! Many times there are items with the tags still attached, & if you are pregnant thrift stores are great places to find maternity clothes at bargain prices!
